The situation: You already have a Meta Business Manager account, and you want to add Geeks on the Beach (or another online marketing agency) as a manager.
This guide will help you delegate Meta advertising tasks securely to your agency of choice while maintaining complete administrative control and without having to share your private credentials.
Completion Time: About 10 minutes
First things first:
- To complete this guide, you will need a Meta Business Manager Account.
- If you don’t have one, you’ll want to create one. Don’t worry, it’s easy. Follow our Create a Meta Business Manager Account guide.
- Someone with Full Administrative Rights will need to perform the actions and steps in this guide.
Why This Matters:
Meta Business Manager is where Geeks on the Beach will access pages, and add, edit, track, and pay for meta ads and campaigns on your behalf.
Unlike the Meta Business Suite or simple Facebook boosted Posts, Meta’s Business Manager Account is built for professionals and has all the bells and whistles we need to create well-run paid ad campaigns.
Here’s how…
Step 1: Confirming that you have a Meta Business Manager Account:
First, let’s check to see if you have a Business Manager Account created already before trying to hand over the reins.
Head over to business.facebook.com
If you do have a Meta Business Manager Account, you will be directed to it. If not you will see this page
If you do not have a Meta Business Manager Account you will have to create one before proceeding. Follow our easy Create a Meta Business Manager Account guide.
Step 2: Granting Access to Your Business Manager:
1. Go to your Business Manager settings here.
2. Click on “Partners” and choose “Add” under “Partner to share assets with.”
3. Enter your partner’s Business ID (if you’re working with Geeks On The Beach, your digital marketing manager will provide this).
4. Select the assets you want to share (this could include : Pages, Ad Accounts, Pixels, etc.) pick access levels, and click “Save Changes.”
Important: This step doesn’t transfer ownership but allows Geeks on the Beach to help manage Pages or ads.
Congrats!
You’ve successfully given access to your business assets, making collaboration easy while keeping control.
If the above didn’t work, call or write. Let us know where you got stuck and we’ll guide you the rest of the way.
